Prizes

 

Prizes awarded at the finals are provided by through the generosity of our sponsors.  The decisions made by our judges are at their sole discretion and all decisions of the committee will be final.

 

Prizes will be awarded in the categories of Non-Retail, Retail, and Service businesses. 

 

     PRIZE PACKAGE #1:

    Non-Retail - For those with a plan to start or expand a non-retail business
    or a product in areas like Agriculture, Manufacturing, or Technology.

 

  • Prize Package: The winner will receive $2,500 cash, ($1,250 at Awards event/$1,250 after consultation services are completed) 10 hours of professional business consultation services, $25,000 in-kind radio advertising package from Regional Media and $5,028 in advertising from Gatehouse Media for newspaper, social media and website advertising in Henry County!

  • Runner-up receives $500 Cash and a tuition waiver to attend Black Hawk College’s Small Business Development Center ($400 value). 

 

      PRIZE PACKAGE #2:

     Retail - For those with a plan to start or expand a retail sales business.

 

  • Prize Packages: The winner will receive $2,500 cash, ($1,250 at Awards event/$1,250 after consultation services are completed) 10 hours of professional business consultation services, $25,000 in-kind radio advertising package from Regional Media and $5,028 in advertising from Gatehouse Media for newspaper, social media and website advertising in Henry County!

      Service Business - For those with a plan to start or expand a service

      business  (ie: accounting, attorney, massage therapy).
